Erectile Dysfunction

I have erectile dysfunction and have tried most of the treatments out there. I have tried all of the medications, I have tried a pump, and I have even tried a medicine that is directly injected into the penis. I really want something to work; my marriage depends on it. What else is there?

While the medications for erectile dysfunction (ED) are helpful for many men, there are some that do not respond to this treatment. As you mentioned, there are devices, such as a pump device that can also be used. For those men with refractory erectile dysfunction, a surgical approach may be necessary. In this procedure, a prosthesis is placed in the penis, as well as a reservoir to hold saline water, and a pumping device placed in the body. This is then manually pumped up by the man at home prior to sexual intercourse. It can be very helpful for men that don’t respond to the medical treatment of ED.
