Your feet are often a forgotten part of your body. After all, how many people spend time pampering their feet? But in the end your feet may be the most used and, arguably, most important part of your body. Every step you take requires you to have happy, healthy feet.
The human foot is extremely complex and is made up of 26 bones, 33 joints, and a network of more than 100 tendons, muscles, and ligaments. As a matter of fact, the feet contain a quarter of all the bones in the human body.
The American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) has an excellent essay on feet and the best way to care for them. You can read more about it here: http://www.apma.org/s_apma/doc.asp?CID=371&DID=9406
According to the APMA, 75 percent of Americans experience foot problems of a greater or lesser degree of seriousness at some time in their lives. So, you should really take good care of your feet so they can take good care of you.
