by Dean Heller MD October 11th, 2013 | Ask the Doctor
Q: I am 41 and have been working in a cardiac catheterization lab for over 10 years. I know I get some radiation because of this, and although I take all of the necessary precautions, I am worried that I may have developed cataracts. I know these usually occur in older people, but I know radiation affects the eyes as many of the doctors wear lead glasses. I have frequent blurry vision, and I have been having trouble driving at night recently, and see rings around the lights at night. Does this sound like cataracts?Â

Q: I am 14 and I really do not want to talk to my mother about this, but I am curious, so I wanted to try and get an answer from an expert. For the past year or so I have been having pain in the back and on the sides of my neck. My mother has seen me touching my neck and her response is soooo typical "stop texting so much". So my question is, could it be something else, or is it possible my mother is right, and it is all the texting
